Cockburn SES Unit Awards Night

On 16 November the Cockburn SES Unit held its awards night.  SES Manager Drew Devereux addressed the group and acknowledge a number of guests including the City of Cockburn Mayor Logan Howlett and his wife, DFES Deputy Commissioner Lloyd Bailey AFSM, DFES District Officer Will Blackshaw, SESVA President Gordon Hall, Cockburn life members and Volunteers.

A number of awards were presented for service to the SES extending from 5 years to 35 years.

Mayor Logan presented the SES Unit with a picture depicting an emergency situation for display in the unit.   Deputy Commissioner Lloyd Bailey presented Mayor Logan with an orange tie as part of SES week and wear orange on Wednesday celebrations.  SES Manager Drew thanked all attendees and invited them to stay for some food and refreshments.  A good night was had by all.
