SES Volunteer's Association of Western Australia Incorporated

“Together we can; Together we will”

Media & PR Strategy Sub-Committee

The purpose of the SES Volunteers Association of Western Australia (WA) Media and Public Relations Strategy Sub-Committee (short name – Media and PR Strategy Team) is to effectively manage the flow of information between the SES Volunteers Association and the emergency service volunteers/public/media, ensuring accurate, timely, and positive messaging during non-emergency situations, but also by exception when SES volunteers are assisting the community during major emergency situations.

This Team plays a crucial role in maximising the benefits for its member Units by enhancing the visibility, reputation, and relationship of SES Units and through communication to the public and media outlets as well as effective public relations programs, conservation of SES history in WA and acknowledgement of current and past SES volunteers.

The Team works to build a positive public perception, enhance community awareness, and ensure recognition of SES volunteers. By doing so, the SESVA contributes to the overall success and effectiveness of the SES in serving the community before, during and after an emergency.
