04/02/2014 – Gosnells SES on the job

Some Activity at Gosnells

By Phillip Petersen ESM

There is a common mis-belief that when SES volunteers stop regular training over the “Festive Season”, that they stop volunteering. Myth busted!   At Gosnells, Monday, it was about providing support to our Volunteer Bush Fire Service and making safe a house after a car entered the bedroom. The family who live in the house had just returned home in time to see the car drive into their house. Fotunately no one was injured.  The support to the fire will continue overnight and tomorrow; and then the Gosnells SES Volunteers will re-commence regular training on Wednesday night in a range skills specific to SES roles.
