15/11/2013 – SES Volunteers in Pemberton Search

Yesterday police form Pemberton, Margaret River, Busselton, and Police Air Wing searched the Pemberton area. They were supported by Local Government Rangers and State Emergency Service volunteers (including a search dog).  Police Officers from Bunbury continued the search for Kay throughout the night.

This morning the search will scale up again. Search activities this morning will include:
Air search

  • Local Helispecs helicopter with two State Emergency Service volunteers (trained air observers)

Ground search

  • Approximately 50 State Emergency Service volunteers
  • SES search dog
  • Local Government support (including Rangers and Bush Fire Brigade volunteers)
  • Police Officers

Local Pemberton residents, especially those in the outer lying areas of Pemberton, are being asked to check their properties for any signs of Kay, in particular they are asked to search all their outbuildings, no matter how small, in case she has sought shelter overnight.  Anyone with information regarding Kay is asked to call the Pemberton Police Station on 9776 1202 or 131 444.
