FLOOD RESCUE OPERATIONS – FIT FOR TASK SURVEY
DFES have requested our assistance in circulating notice of a survey being conducted on the above subject by the Deakin University. Researchers from the University have been working closely with SES organisations Australia-wide with the aim of gaining a better understanding of the physical requirements of tasks you are asked to perform when responding to operational call outs.
The survey is aimed at all qualified Flood Rescue Operators.
The University will be placing high value on all opinions, especially those who are out doing the job, and asks questions regarding how important they believe a task is in relation to achieving overall objectives, how often they perform it, and how physically demanding they perceive it to be. Participation in the survey is entirely voluntary (and anonymous) and the responses that are provided will be compiled with those of all other participants and reported in a manner which protects your confidentiality.
Participation by qualified Flood Rescue Operators would be greatly appreciated. The link for the survey is below and the closing date for the survey is 6 October 2013
