From the President

Welcome to 2024 and a Happy New Year to everyone. The coming year will see the Association very busy with some long-overdue discussions and outcomes for SES members. 

Future Articles

During 2024 the SESVA Newsletter will feature a series of articles on significant Cyclones in Western Australia starting with 1999, as 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of Cyclones Elaine and Vance’s landfall in the Midwest and Pilbara respectively, resulting in a trail of destruction across the state.

My Unit – Meekatharra SES

The Unit was established about 35 years ago. A meeting was held in the Sporting Complex in Meekatharra in 1988 with the then Regional Coordinator Bernie McNamara representing the Western Australian State Emergency Service (WASES)

Specialised SES Units

The State Emergency Service – Communication Support Unit (CSU) is an operational SES unit, delivering communication solutions for multi-agency Emergency Services.
