It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the WAFES23 conference! As the President of the Volunteer’s Association, I am truly honoured to have the opportunity to welcome SES Volunteers from throughout WA.
WAFES23 promises to be an incredible event filled with learning, networking, and camaraderie. I encourage you to make the most of this opportunity. This is a chance for us to come together, share our experiences, and gain valuable insights into emergency services.
I look forward to catching up with you and would like to invite you to connect with our Volunteer’s Association team. You can find us at the conference centre in a meeting room adjacent to the main hall. Feel free to drop by, have a chat, check out our range of SES merchandise and learn more about your Association.
The Association is represented in every region with an aim of providing effective advocacy for the Volunteers of the SES in WA and promoting knowledge through the provision of information to SES Volunteers like you. We also represent your views and interests to Government, DFES, non-government and other agencies on matters that may affect you and how you respond to your community.
Once again, welcome to WAFES23, and let’s make the most of this incredible opportunity. Together, we can continue to strengthen our SES community and enhance our ability to serve those in need.
