In previous editions of the Newsletter, there was a reminder that all units are no longer eligible for charity registration. Some Units have still not voluntarily revoked their charity status even though units have had 12 months to do so.
The Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) wish to finalise this revocation project and will soon be contacting the remaining 16 Units. DFES is currently working with all units to update their charity and Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.
