01/05/2020 – Relaxation of some training restrictions

The DFES IRT today supported the implementation of a plan to resume some training activities over the next couple of weeks, DFES Ops Command will be developing a strategy around priorities, types and levels of training that are permitted.

Once this strategy has been finalised, an implementation plan and guidelines will be communicated to all volunteers.  Regular BGU training that does not require the support and assistance from DFES can recommence immediately, however, all training must adhere to the health department physical distancing guidelines i.e. :

  • A maximum 10 person limit including instructors
  • 1.5m physical distancing  to be maintained at all times
  • No more than 1 person per 4sqm for indoor training

Please note all Regional Training Courses cannot be scheduled until the guidelines have been developed, consulted and released.

Kind regards
