2019 Resilient Australia Awards.
The 2019 WA Awards were announced on 31 July at a function in Perth.
A number of awards in different categories were presented, however the Community Award went to Sarah Hamilton and Scouts WA, for the introduction of the State Emergency Service Scouts Badge.
The award was received by Jane Hamilton, Sarah Hamilton and Barbara de la Hunty, Chief Commissioner, Scouts WA. See photo below.
This is a great achievement for Scouts WA and the SES, especially as the badge will now be rolled out across Australia as one of the official scout badges.
There has been a lot of work from two SES Volunteers, Sarah and Jane, who have been supported by the Belmont SES Unit.
