28/09/2016 – WA SES assists South Australia Storm Response – Update

 Update:

A taskforce from the Southwest and Lower Southwest comprising 16 SES Volunteers from a number of Units has also been sent to South Australia.  More details as they come to hand.

WA SES assists South Australia Storm Response

DFES deployed eighteen Metro based SES Volunteers to assist the South Australian SES during the current storm response. The task force was dispatched in two commercial flights to Adelaide departing Perth on Wednesday evening.   Volunteers from Swan, Rockingham, Armadale, Gosnells, Cockburn, Wanneroo-Joondalup and Bayswater were deployed.   Due to issues in South Australia at least one plane was turned back to Perth airport
