Registering for the Annual SES Volunteers Conference
DFES is pleased to be hosting the sixth annual conference from Friday 9 September to Sunday 11 September at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC). The theme for the 2016 conference is Valuing Volunteers.
The Keynote Speakers include Australian of the Year, Lieutenant General David Morrison AO, Incident Controller of the Gulf Oil Disaster, Michael Utsler and medical pioneer, Dr. Fiona Wood FRACS AM. The conference program will include various tour options, including the Perth Fire Station and the WA Police Maylands Incident Control Centre.
For regional delegates, DFES will cover the costs of twin share accommodation and flights.
The SES Awards Ceremony will be held on the evening of Saturday 10 September at the Novotel Perth Langley in Adelaide Tce near Hill St. DFES has again generously subsidised this event with tickets being $50.00 per person. Details for tickets to the Annual SES Awards night will be issued next week.
There are limited positions so all pre-registrations must come from the SES Unit and be emailed to the SESVA at email@example.com. Up to two Volunteers per unit can be pre-registered. The pre-registration will need the names and email contact details of your unit’s two nominated delegates to the SESVA Office, by return email ASAP. To share the experience around we ask that a Volunteer who has not previously attended the conference be considered.
The SESVA will then contact your delegates and confirm they may register to attend.
You may also list names of other unit members who would like to be placed on the Conference waiting list, should additional places become available.
