This is to welcome you to the DFES Volunteers Conference and give you a short overview of the weekend
Friday Evening
The conference kicks off with Welcome Drinks at 1800 hrs at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC)
Saturday
The program for the Saturday commences with the Official opening by the Minister for Emergency Services at 0800 hrs
This is followed by the Keynote Speaker and then the SES Stream which includes;
- Solar Safety
- Hydroponics in the Roof Space
- Drug Lab Discovery
- SES Training Pathways, with a Q&A session
- SES Search, land, air and sea including a presentation on MH370 by AMSA’s Christine MacMillan
- Fleet Update including Q&A
- Peer Support update including Q&A
- Insurance for SES Volunteers including Q&A
- An overview of the business by the Chief Superintendents including Q&A
Saturday Awards Night
The awards night kicks off at 1830 hrs at the PCEC for those who purchased tickets
Sunday
Commences with the SESVA AGM at 0745, followed by special announcements and an open forum for the SES Volunteers. At 945hrs there are a number of DFES sessions covering a number of topics
Conference Closes
The Conference officially closes at 1330 hrs
