Australia Day 2015 Honours

The SESVA congratulates the DFES Staff or Volunteers successful in The Australia Day Honours 2015. Australia honours its citizens who have made outstanding achievements and contributions to our society. They are:


Mr Joseph John McLAUGHLIN Denham WA 6537
Mr McLaughlin has been a member of nearly all Western Australian volunteer services for the past 48 years, including the Shark Bay State Emergency Service (SES), the Shark Bay Volunteer Marine Rescue Service (VMRS) and the North Dinninup Bush Fire Brigade.

Mr Alexander James WILLIAMS Hazelvale WA 6333
Mr Williams is a leader who is tireless in his efforts to make the volunteer work environment safer and more effective. This is exemplified in his leadership roles within the individual units he commands, both with Volunteer Marine Rescue Service and with volunteer Bush Fire Brigades.


Mr Roger Inskip ARMSTRONG Eaton WA 6232
Mr Armstrong’s early career in fire management involved fire suppression activities as a front line fire fighter, and a practitioner of prescribed burning in the south-west of WA.

Mr Robert Joseph PAPALIA 6 Costello Road, Broadwater WA 6280Mr Papalia has given long and distinguished service as a volunteer firefighter for 35 years within both the Brunswick and Busselton Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service (VFRS).
