Gnowangerup SES to Get a New Building
The Gnowangerup SES building is substandard and should be condemned, however after visits by DFES staff, representations by the SESVA and input from the Gnowangerup Shire, the Local SES Manager, Les Nayda advises; “I’m pleased to say we have today been notified by the Shire CEO that the funding application of our new base has been approved in writing by DFES.
Thanks so very much for your help and all the work both you and the SESVA have done to assist us in securing this funding. Your assistance has been outstanding and very much appreciated.” It is great to see Local Government, the SES Unit and DFES working together to obtaining funding to provide the much needed fit for purpose headquarters for the SES Volunteers. The Shire CEO has also stated that they will fast track the approvals process and expect to commence the building by the end of September.
