Metro Challenge 2014 (Hand book below)
Please see attached the 2014 Metro Challenge Handbook and associated forms. We have made life easy and separated the nomination forms so you don’t need to keep printing the whole handbook if you don’t want too.
The planning meeting was held here at Swan ESF on the 19th July, with a great turn out with almost every Metro unit present, albeit a couple of apologies due to prior commitments. We are still looking for a couple of stands to be filled such as AIIMS, Casualty Handling and possibly expanding general rescue stands into multiple, as well as needing helpers and runners for the day. Current stands will be Vertical Rescue, Navigation, Communications, General Rescue, Knots, Storm Damage – RSS, Driving, Chainsaw, Search. So if you with to help out please submit the staff nomination form in the handbook.
We are currently in the process of finalising DFES and hopefully some corporate funding for the event to minimise the cost of entering teams. The nominal fee is currently set at $150 per team, but this will be reviewed closer to the date subject to final funding vs costs.
So remember to book 12 October – Sunday out for the event.
We are looking for to seeing nomination forms starting to roll in from all units, and it should be an awesome day. One thing we ask to assist with planning the days schedule is if teams can make a note of what formal qualifications your members have, so we can send you to stands most suitable for your experience level.
