About 1:45pm yesterday afternoon, Sunday 13 July 2014, an emergency phone call was made to WA Police regarding a person being trapped between two large rocks and Monkey Rock, near Denmark.

  • Denmark Police were sent to the scene, along with St John Ambulance personnel and State Emergency Service volunteers (believed to be Albany and Denmark SES Units).
  • It was established a 14 year old boy had become stuck, and appeared to have a dislocated shoulder.
  • The State Emergency Service volunteers conducted a rescue operation and lifted the boy to the top of the rocks.
