Mac Holt from Kalbarri SES reports that after continuation training nights and two weekend formal courses it was time to provide a practical scenario to apply training to an ‘out of the box’ situation. For the end of month night time scenario, we turned our back yard into a shark infested sea to be crossed whilst rescuing a badly injured casualty. Setting up an imaginative and intriguing scenario keeps volunteers interest levels high and provides them learning ‘fun’ to tell their mates “What we do at the Kalbarri SES is….”.
Progress was also made with our build of our the storage/garage facility – with some difficulties to overcome…..
