DFES OFFER THE ASSOCIATION A POSITION ON THE IWG
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) Commissioner has offered the State Emergency Service Volunteers Association a position on the Inter-agency Working Group (IWG) looking at the development of a single comprensive emergency services act. DFES will be coordinating the review of this legislation under the strategic guidance of the IWG which was formed out of a recommendation from the Perth Hills February 2011 Review.
The legislative team is headed by David Caporn, Director Legal and Legislative Services. The Association sees this as a positive change by DFES and they will be an active member along with representatives from other Volunteer Associations.
