The inaugural WA Fire and Emergency Services Conference will be held at Burswood in Perth from Saturday 30 July to Monday 1 August 2011. This conference is a new and exciting concept for emergency services personnel in Western Australia which will supersede the SES Conference and other emergency services conferences.
It will be the first time in Western Australia’s history where people from all key emergency services agencies can come together with a shared vision of emergency services and to work together for the benefit of the wider community.
For SES volunteers the Conference will commence on the afternoon of Saturday 30 July 2011 with an SES specific workshop and a Special General Meeting of the SES Volunteers Association, with the purpose to adopt a new Constitution.
Information and registration forms for the conference have been posted to all SES Units. The emergency services volunteers associations have submitted a joint grant application to Lotterywest assist in meeting the cost of travel and accommodation of the volunteers attending the conference. Whilst this will enable two representatives from each Unit to attend at no cost to the volunteer, there is also the option of registering additional volunteers as fee paying delegates at a discounted rate for emergency services volunteers.
Please see the Conference website for further details and information about the conference and registration forms for additional delegates. https://extranet.fesa.wa.gov.au/fesa2011/
