In the November 2025 SESVA news update, it was reported that we’d heard that there is going to be a review of the suitability of flood boats for SES in WA.
DFES has met with the Association to discuss the review and seek input.
We can report that DFES is now reviewing the status of its flood boat capability across the state. This review will include the size and maneuverability within the defined operational environment. The report will provide an opportunity to look at the ‘where to next’ for flood capability.
