05/02/2024 – SESVA welcomes new Committee Members

Welcome new Committee Members

KIMBERLEY - SARGE BOTTACIN

Sarge has returned to the Management Committee after a twelve-month break along with his considerable SES experience and his passion for learning and development. Sarge joined the Northam District SES unit in 1987 where he held positions of Team Member, Team Leader, Training Manager, Local Manager and currently the Training Manager of the Pingelly SES unit. In 2014, Sarge was awarded the 2nd Clasp to the National Medal. Included in his long service with the WA State Emergency Service, Sarge was awarded the Peter Keillor Award by his peers in 2009.

GREAT SOUTHERN - SCOTT LARKING

Scott has been an active member of the Albany SES unit for seven years and thoroughly enjoys his volunteering experiences. He is the Communications Officer of the unit and is part of the Incident Control Vehicle (ICV) team for the Great Southern region, holding various qualifications for each of these positions. Scott is committed to supporting volunteers and also volunteers with three other organisations: Alzheimer’s WA, Honorary CWA Husband Member and the Albany Ratepayers Association as President.

The SESVA Executive Team and Committee welcomes Scott and the return of Sarge to the Management Committee and look forward to working together throughout 2024 and beyond. We are off to an interesting year with a refreshed team prepared to make an invaluable contribution to progressing the Association’s objectives on behalf of SES volunteers.
