“Together we can; Together we will”

01/05/2022 – WOW day 2022

WOW Day 2022

More than 2,000 SES volunteers from every walk of life play a vital role in keeping communities across WA safe during natural disasters and emergencies.

These highly skilled men and women drop everything to help when people need them the most. From conducting emergency repairs to buildings damaged by cyclones, storms, and floods, to ferrying cargo and passengers across floodwaters, the SES provides a vital service for the people of Western Australia.

They assist WA Police during land searches, undertake aerial and cave rescues, attend road crashes, and assist fire crews during the long, hot bushfire season.

Wear orange on WOW Day and show your support by uploading your images to social media using the hashtag #thankyouSESWA

18 Wednesday May 2022 – Going ORANGE for WOW Day

In previous years a number of iconic buildings and landmarks across the State have been  lit up in magnificent orange in support of the SES volunteers including Elizabeth Quay, Yagan Square, Perth Concert Hall, Matagarup Bridge and the Swan Bell Tower. Let’s see  Perth again this year lit in orange.
