Amy Calleja Mandurah SES wins a Volunteer of the Year Award.

The Alcoa Peel Youth Volunteer of the Year Award recognises the efforts of Youth Volunteers and their contribution to Volunteer organisations and the communities they serve.

At an award breakfast on 2 December, MC David Templeman MLA, announced that Amy Calleja, State Emergency Service Volunteer, was the winner of the award. David went on to say that Amy joined the Emergency Service Cadets (ESCC) Corps in 2016 and since then she has continuously displayed exceptional skills and leadership, and worked well in team environments and assisted, mentored and inspired other cadets.  Amy is a great role model, collaborates well with her peers, and provides leadership and mentoring to others in her groups.

Amy’s ability to think outside the box and solve problems has made her an outstanding Volunteer and worthy of this award.  Over the years Amy has assisted on many community events and won several awards through the cadets and the State Emergency Service.

We congratulate Amy on her nomination and award.
