Town of Bassendean Community Awards
The Town of Bassendean Community Awards is an exciting opportunity for the Town to recognise and acknowledge individuals, community groups and business for their excellence in the community.
Community Leadership Award
This award will be presented to a volunteer who has made a significant contribution to the local community. They will have demonstrated leadership on a community issue resulting in the enhancement of community life, been involved in a significant initiative which has brought about positive change and added value to community life and/or demonstrated inspiring qualities as a role model for the community.
Volunteer Organisation of the Year
This award will be presented to a local community group that services the Town of Bassendean and significantly contributes to achieve partnerships within the community that build capacity, connection and sense of belonging, contributing to an empowered community.
2021 Awards
On Sunday the 24th of May 2021 the Bassendean SES unit was awarded the Town of Bassendean “Volunteer Organization of the Year” also Gordon Munday was awarded posthumously “Lifetime Contribution to Volunteering”. Gordon’s awards was accepted by his wife Ros Munday.
