SES Volunteer's Association of Western Australia Incorporated

“Together we can; Together we will”

30/04/2021 – WOW Day Celebration

The SES Volunteers Association has obtained  a grant to enable SES Volunteers to celebrate WOW day and National Volunteer week, from Volunteering WA.  To celebrate National Volunteer Week SES members from around the state are invited to create a regional celebration BBQ as a thank you for their ongoing commitment and support to helping the people of Western Australia during times of storm, bushfire, floods, missing people searches and so on.

The day can include lunch, games and activities, and presentations.  The sum of $500.00 is available to each region for the event.  It is hoped that regions will invite local media and use social media to promote the event.  We envisage this could be a great opportunity to attract new members and involve local communities.

With the distances involved in the North of the state, we are open to any suggestions you may have as to how we can manage the event so every unit benefits.

No alcohol may be purchased with the funds, and receipts need to be provided so we can distribute funds to Regions involved.  We are only able to provide funds to the region on production of expenditure receipts, as a condition of the grant.

If your region wishes to become involve, please contact me and we can discuss further please contact the Secretary Lin Booth on 0428 612 480 or sesva.secretary@ses-wa.asn.au
