After 2 terms totalling 6 years as the Local Manager of the Northam & Districts SES Unit, Sergio (Sarge) Bottacin stood down earlier this month. Sarge’s efforts and commitment to the SES were recognised with a Certificate of Appreciation presented to him by DFES District Officer Matt Reimer at their recent training night. Sarge will continue to be involved with the Unit and has already taken on the Training Manager role to assist with training and the mentoring of new members.
Cheryl Greenough has been appointed as the new Local Manager for a 3 year term and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position. Her main objectives are to increase the Unit membership and develop their capability to be able to assist with all manner of incidents.
