Update – 2018 Conference and Awards night
The SESVA are working closely with DFES on both the Awards night and the Australasian Fire and Emergency Services Council (AFAC) conference for 2018.
DFES are the hosts for AFAC2018 – 5, 6, 7 September. There will not be a WA FES Volunteer conference this year.
An email from the SESVA calling for AFAC Conference nominations has been sent to all SES units today.
This is a great opportunity to observe national and international presenters and trends in emergency services.
The email to units has the following details.
AFAC Registrations
The SESVA is now calling for a nomination from every unit and a second nomination to go into a ballot.
These AFAC nominations close on 28 June.
It is expected that the ballot for the extra positions will be drawn by close of business 5 July and units advised soon after that.
Awards Night – Friday 7 September
These are expected to be open for registration at the end of June and all units will be advised when open. The Awards Night registrations will be done online, including payment. The costs will be $50 for all persons attending (limited numbers) – except the Award Finalists and special guests.
Please note that only SESVA AFAC2018 registered Volunteers have travel and accommodation organised.
