The SESVA has been informed of the passing of emergency services volunteer Derek Fletcher OAM at home on Thursday afternoon.
Many of you would have known Derek whilst employed as an acting SES District Manager or Community Emergency Services Officer or through his 50 plus years serving the Kalamunda community as a member of the SES, Bush Fire Brigade and Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service.
Along with these achievements, Derek also spent time as a board member of the former WA Fire Brigades Board and WA Bush Fire Brigades Board.
Funeral details will be advised in the next few days.
