2017 WAFES Annual Conference
The annual conference will commence on Friday night September 8 This year the key note speaker will be the Director General of EMA. Mark Crossweller AFSM. SES Volunteers can register for the Friday tours to a number of locations. There are many speakers addressing many subjects including the Coroner’s office, a drone debate and a number of SES related subjects. The SESVA will have their AGM on the Sunday morning, followed by an open forum for SES Volunteers. The conference official opening will include the Commissioner’s farewell as he will be retiring soon after The final plenary speaker for the conference, following the drone debate, will be Robyn Moore. Robyn is a well sought after speaker and has been a voice-over artist for 44 years. The Conference will close at 1pm on Sunday 10 September.
Registrations are now open and all SES units can register two members for the conference. It is recommended that the Local Manager or their representative attend along with another member who hasn’t been to the annual conference recently (maximum of 2 Per Unit). There will be a “Wait List” for other SES Volunteers who would like to attend. All registrations, in the first instance, should be via the SESVA office sesva.office@ses-wa.asn.au
Please note that the conference location parking has height restrictions and does not accept large vehicles or personnel carriers.
