Presidents Newsletter February 2016

The President’s newsletter will bring  SES Volunteers up to date on a number of subjects including the issues that Volunteers are reporting about their training and some of the solutions DFES have advised.    The President also mentions the great work the SES Volunteers have put in in supporting the bushfire operations across the state and the difference the provision of buses has made to transporting fire fighters and IMT members.

Further to this there is an update on the Vehicle Weights with the latest advice that some units will be able to have their Personnel Carriers upgraded.  The Fuel Cards for SES Units is also covered and it is hoped that these will be released late February/early March 2016.

The current situation with the SES Peer Support group is also mentioned and the newsletter finishes off with a few words about SES Units and their internal management
