Tropical Cyclone Iggy is expected to intensify over the weekend as it moves towards Western Australia’s Pilbara coastThe SES has warned residents in the Midwest Gascoyne and Pilbara regions in coastal areas from Port Hedland to Coral Bay to prepare their homes and family.  This includes people in Karratha, Onslow, Exmouth, Wickam, Point Samson, Dampier, Roebourne and surrounding areas.  Remember that preparing your home and family for a cyclone is your responsibility,” SES says.  The Bureau of Meteorology says Iggy is about 560km northwest of Exmouth and 720km west-northwest of Karratha.  The category 2 cyclone is moving south-southeast at 8km/h towards the west Pilbara coast.  Iggy is expected to steadily intensify while moving southeast towards the western Pilbara coast.  SES says gales may develop near Exmouth by early Sunday and extend to other coastal parts of the Pilbara west of Port Hedland by Sunday evening.  Rainfall is likely to increase on Saturday in coastal parts of the Pilbara, but the heaviest rainfall is likely to be confined to within 100km
