The men were hiking in the Stirling Ranges when they got into trouble. Two hikers have been rescued by police in Western Australia’s Great Southern after one them became injured and was unable to continue their trek. The men were on the western side of the Isongerup Peak in the Stirling Ranges about 11.30am yesterday when they got into trouble. They used a phone to call for help but response efforts were hampered by rugged terrain. The police air wing was eventually used to help locate and rescue the pair by late afternoon.
At thie time it is not known if SES Volunteers were involved in this operation
