Important Changes to DFES
As part of the State’s wide-ranging Machinery of Government reform of the public sector, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) will be reducing senior executive positions and finding savings that will benefit volunteer services.
The most significant change is the creation of a new amalgamated division: Strategy and Emergency Management Command. The new division brings together the Capability, and Governance and Strategy Commands, as well as the Office of Emergency Management (OEM).
