Lotterywest program manager, Michelle Beer, has advised that the State Emergency Service Volunteers Association (SESVA Inc) application for a grant to support SES Volunteers Conference has been successful. The conference is being conducted on 12-13 November 2010 at the Mecure Hotel, Perth. The grant is to assist with travel expenses for country SES volunteers and has been approved by Lotterywest Board and the Premier.
The SES Volunteers Conference is part of National SES Week and organised as a partnership between FESA and SES Volunteers Association. This is the fourth conference and serves to provide updated information, communication and networking for SES volunteers.
SES volunteers train and respond to a variety of emergencies in our community, often at high risk to themselves.
