Mac Holt reports that Kalbarri SES had no call outs in August! – The first month since October 2011. Since then we have responded to 11 local search/rescues plus deployments necessitating travel in the state to Yalgun (east of Carnarvon – 3 times), Shark Bay, Meekatharra and Wiluna in response to FESA requests to support fire, storm and search operations. We also had our annual visit by local school children for safer community awareness and pre-’training’ for future volunteers – (in about 15 years time)!
