01/07/2012 – Call for FESA Conference Program Ideas

FESA General Circular No: 101/2012

CALL FOR FESA CONFERENCE PROGRAM IDEAS

FESA’s Fire and Emergency Services Conference is in the planning stages and we want to hear from you. The 2012 Conference theme is ‘Share, Learn, Prepare – coming together to protect our community’.

If you have an idea for a workshop or practical demonstration that you know staff and volunteers would like to see at the conference please let us know.
Up to an hour has been set aside for workshops, which includes question time. The workshops can address service specific topics or general topics. These workshops will take place in the meeting rooms.

A few selected speakers will be offered one hour slots to present on topics that are relevant to all personnel. These will take place in the Riverside Theatre. If there is an exciting and dynamic speaker you think would be appropriate we would like to hear your suggestions.

In addition there will be practical demonstrations in the outdoor pavilions so if there is anything you would be particularly keen to witness, please forward us your ideas.

Please submit your ideas to your service representative by Friday 25 July.
State Emergency Service: John Capes mail@ses-wa.asn.au     t: 0407 429 554

All suggestions will be considered, however, it will not be possible to include all ideas and we will work to ensure the most popular topics requested are covered.

If you have any questions please contact Forum and Events Coordinator Johanna Garnett via email johanna.garnett@fesa.wa.gov.au or call 9323 9789.
