As announced in May, the second WA Fire and Emergency Services Conference will be held from 2-5 November 2012 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
This year’s conference will include the Seasonal Outlook Forum on Friday 2 November, the volunteer program over the weekend on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 November, followed by the Operations Forum on Monday 5 November.
We are now pleased to announce the proposed formats for the award events being held during the FESA conference. All ceremonies will be a prestigious celebration to recognise the outstanding achievement, commitment, dedication and courage of volunteers and career personnel.
The following award ceremony options are proposed:
State Emergency Service (SES) Awards
Friday 2 November from 7pm
There have been discussions with all Associations about the format of this year’s award events where there has been a change in the format. If you have any feedback, concerns or suggestions regarding the format of the proposed events, please contact your Association directly who will then liaise with the FESA events team.
The approach of having all award events held during the conference facilitates more opportunities for volunteers and staff from regional areas to attend and support their peers. These events are in the planning stages and specific details about ticket prices are not yet available, however, they will all represent good value for money.
An all services gala event for conference delegates is planned for Saturday 3 November. The event will bring everyone together to provide a valuable networking opportunity.
