Samuel Dinnison Police spokesperon said Police are investigating the death of a 52 year old Coodanup man after he fell through the roof of a building in Furnissdale yesterday afternoon, Monday 11 June 2012. Police were called to the Peel Health Campus just after 7:00pm after being notified the man had died.
St John Ambulance had earlier been called to the Furnissdale Road address just before 5:30pm, responding to a call that a man had fallen through the roof of a building while attempting to make repairs to damage that had been sustained to the garage of a friend’s property during the recent storm activity. The man landed on the concrete floor below.
The man was taken to the Peel Health Campus by ambulance. Police and SES are urging residents to be mindful of the dangers that could be present when undertaking storm damage repairs and take safety precautions.
