David Sneddon reports that Armadale SES was involved in an exercise last night (Wednesday) the27-Apr-2011. The Exercise code named Hills HAZMAT 2011 was a multi-agency training exercise which revolved around a traffic accident between a truck carrying dangerous goods and several other vehicles. Agencies involved included FESA, St John Ambulance, Police, Department of Environment and Conservation, City of Armadale, WA Chemistry Centre, Department of Mines and Petroleum and The Salvation Army. Armadale SES provided the casualties and bystanders, with some realistic injuries prepared by a moulage team. The wet weather provided another touch of realism.
