27/11/2010 News from Kalbarri SES

Mac Holt from Kalbarri SES reports that its  has been a busy year with lots happening and many hours put in by everyone.  We didn’t win the state SES team of the year award , we came close – so that’s the challenge for 2011.  Early next year on Australia Day we are having a PR event and a joint demonstration/exercise with other emergency service groups – members support during at least part of the the day would really be appreciated. He suggests members talk to your mates about what you have done and achieved in the last year, and get them to come and check out the SES fo themselves on Australia Day – down on the Kalbarri foreshore.

We will also have our ‘go-faster’ flood boat back after it’s engine upgrade.  The sea trials with the new twin 90 Hp engines indicate that even the qualified skippers will have to hang on when the throttles are opened up.   Everything is looking positive for 2011.

Mac wishes seasons greetings to everyone and  have fun and stay safe.
