A revitalised Portal2Progress (P2P) website provides State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers with the opportunity to innovate the way emergency services are delivered across the State. The new look website is now easier to navigate and provides users with a number of ways to get involved. Idea initiators can submit new ideas and innovations across any aspect of SES and/or DFES business.
Governance and Strategy Executive Director David Caporn applauded the involvement of volunteers from across the State in submitting their ideas on P2P to date. “It’s been great to see the way that volunteers have embraced P2P. Now with the new website, it’s easier to register, navigate, submit more detailed idea concepts and track the progress of your ideas.” One of the most significant changes to P2P is the establishment of an Innovation Council. The Innovation Council is made up of Subject Matter Experts that assess ideas and make recommendations to the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT) on how they should be progressed.
Strategic Alignment Office Manager Nikki Joyce said other ways to get involved include commenting on an idea or voting for your favourite idea. However you choose to get involved, it all counts. “To get involved; simply register with P2P by visiting the P2P banner on the Volunteer Portal.”
